Sponsorship & curation

Whatever we offer, one rule will not change: paying can never affect whether a project is listed, how it is ordered, or its score. That is not a policy we intend to revisit — it is the reason the rankings are worth reading. See no paid rankings and our disclosures.

What sponsorship would look like

A sponsored card would appear in its own slot above a category list, visually distinct and plainly labeled. The organic list beneath it would not move. Only projects that already qualify for listing on their own metrics could sponsor a slot, so sponsorship could buy visibility but never entry.

What a curated evaluation would be

A future curated tier would list projects that have passed hands-on security and quality testing beyond the automated checks every listing receives. A fee would pay for that testing work — it would not buy a passing result. Projects that failed would not be listed, and curated entries would carry the date they were evaluated, because a review is only ever true of the version that was reviewed.
